Val Scott is a former Senior Lecturer in Art and Design at the WA School
of Art and Design and Media. Solo exhibitions at Perth Galleries, 1992
and Extravaganza Gallery, Albany, 1994.
Works held in the Federal Parliamentary Collection in Sherwood Court,
the Department of Meteorology, and the Town of Cambridge collection and
in private and corporate collections.
Valerie's powerful use of colour can be seen in her pastels of vineyards
in the Swan Valley and boat reflections at marinas on the Swan River,
Hillary's and at Fremantle. She often returns to the subject of her solo
exhibitions - the quiet subtlety of the dunes and beach aspects of Bremer
Bay on the south-eastern coast of WA, where she has a beach house. The
flora endemic to the to the nearby Fitzgerald River National Park and
its surrounds are the subject of her hand-coloured etchings. |
