John is a recognised Western Australian artist. Art education includes
a BA Fine Arts (Hons). He works mainly in pastels and oils and interprets
the colourful West Australian landscape in a unique naturalistic style
that is vibrant and exciting. John travels widely and his work reflects
this. He reveals the local landscape, including Perth beaches and Rottnest
Island. Margaret River pictures and Rottnest Island paintings reflect
an affinity with the landscape, as do paintings of the rugged north-west
around Karijini and the Hamersly Range in the Pilbara region . John's
travels to Europe have been an influence on his work and he has produced
many colourful works of Venice, the Amalfi coast and the Italian riviera.
He has held two solo exhibitions and his works are held in private and
corporate collections in South Africa, Australia, the Middle East and
Japan.
